Akron, OH venue guide
Plan your visit to Wild Oscar's in Akron, OH with entrance, accessibility, transit, parking, dining, and upcoming event details.
Bag policy
The Akron Civic Theatre, which operates Wild Oscar's, bars backpacks and bags larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches and may search bags. Diaper and medical bags may be inspected. Those rules are written for the theater rather than restated for this room. The same guidelines page bans vaping in Wild Oscar's by name.
Entrances
The Civic says doors generally open one hour before showtime, or 30 minutes before for cabaret shows, and does not give a separate Wild Oscar's time. Entry is on foot from the State Street deck: elevator to Lock 3, across Lock 3, then under the Civic arcade to the Wild Oscar's sign in Lock 4, two levels below Main Street.

Accessible restrooms are listed in the main house. Wild Oscar's pages do not describe accessible seating in the 50-person room; they only describe the walk from the deck elevator through Lock 3.

Getting there
Use the venue address, published transit updates, and drop-off zones to pick the right arrival plan.
182 S. Main Street, Akron, OH, 44308
The Civic does not publish bus directions. METRO RTA's downtown hub, the Robert K. Pfaff Transit Center, is at 631 S. Broadway Street. Route 29 runs on South Main, but its published timepoints are farther south than the theatre at 182 S. Main Street, so it should not be treated as a front-door stop.
