Bag policy

The Ventura County Fair uses a clear bag policy: clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags and clear backpacks up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, one-gallon clear freezer bags and small clutches up to 5 x 8 inches are allowed, while larger non-clear bags, tinted or patterned bags, mesh or oversized totes and camera or binocular cases are not. Medical and diaper bags are allowed after inspection, the policy lists two different maximum sizes for hydration packs, and no storage is offered for banned items. Other fairgrounds events may set their own rules.

Entrances

Everyone entering the fairgrounds agrees to screening or search for weapons, drugs, alcohol and illegal items, and security turns away visibly intoxicated guests. Fair hours and promotional days are posted each season on the Hours and Days page, while year-round events such as concerts, expos and the weekly swap meet list their own times on the events calendar.
