Cannery Hall

Bag policy

Purses and bags are searched and must be smaller than 12 by 12 inches; backpacks, large bags, and tote bags are not allowed. Oversized bags over that size are prohibited on the safety page. Key banned categories include weapons of any kind (including permitted firearms and toy weapons), pepper spray or mace, outside food and drinks (including cans, bottles, and alcohol), illegal drugs, professional cameras and recording gear unless approved, laptops or tablets, drones, selfie sticks, glow sticks, umbrellas (may be left at the front door in rain), posters or signs, markers or spray paint, and noisemakers.

Entrances

Cannery Hall is at 1 Cannery Row. Guests should expect a ticket scan, ID check, and bag screen at entry. Door time is printed on the ticket; the line forms at the front entrance and staff direct where it begins, with no guaranteed spot. The box office at the same address opens one hour before scheduled performances and sells door tickets when a show is not sold out. Re-entry is allowed for guests 21 and older except at all-ages shows, which have no re-entry; bags are searched again on return. All-ages shows do not require ID to enter but do for alcohol; age-restricted shows require a valid unexpired government photo ID (no digital photos or school IDs). Most shows are standing room only. Smoking and vaping are outdoors only in designated areas. TABC-related dress rules require guests to be identifiable to match ID, wear a shirt and shoes, and avoid overexposure or props that look like weapons.
